Other Activities:
Family Rock and Fossil Tours: arrangements can easily be made to take one of several tours led by local expert, Rob Davis. In fact, a guided tour is available to collect quartz crystals within a short drive of the resort.
Artists: Visit a potters' studio. See and purchase an original piece of this ancient craft that will be that lifetime souvenir from Raku potters, Lorel and John Sternig.

Heffley
Lake Resort is a pleasant 4 ½ hour drive from the Lower Mainland and
easily accessible for cars, campers, trailers and motor homes of all
types. Our resort is located on the unspoiled south side of Heffley
Lake well away from road noise and all of our 6 cottages and 5 of our
6 campsites are lakeside. 
Heffley
Lake is surrounded by hills and trees and is known as being an excellent
fishing lake. The fishing season starts in the early spring and continues
all summer long. When not fishing, enjoy swimming, biking, hiking, (we
can provide trail maps of the area near the resort) wildlife viewing
(we have Bald Eagle and Osprey aeries visible from the lake) or horseback
riding up at Sun Peaks. 
We
are only a 45 minute drive to Kamloops, a community of some 80,000 people.
The city offers a wide variety of speciality shops, stores, malls and
several Big Box Retail outlets. This means Kamloops can provide any
"shop-aholics" in your party with their fix - a cheaper prospect for
US guests where their dollar is worth so much more in Canada. 
Golfing
is also an option with many fine courses including one designed by Robert
Trent Jones and a new course, usually open in June, up at Sun Peaks
Ski Resort, which is only a 10 minute drive away. While the pace naturally
slows down in Spring and Summer, Sun Peaks Ski Resort has restaurants,
shops and summer activities to be enjoyed. year around.
